“A LuLa lover’s honest review of the TC vs TC2 leggings –
This week I was lucky to snag a gorgeous pair of TC2 which I bought without trying on. They are designed for sizes 18-28 and I was excited. With most of the my TCs, I have to work the leggings up my thighs. I don’t have huge huge thighs, but like I said, I’m a plus size gal so my thighs have some width on them. The TC2s slipped right up my legs to my waist with no problem. They also ride a little higher on my waist, which I am perfectly fine with because I hate low waisted stuff. I have wide hips and most low waisted stuff either falls off or create an awful muffin top. The TC2s fit so nice, I almost forgot I was wearing pants, if it weren’t for the fact that my thighs weren’t sticking together, lol.
I decided to measure the inseam and length of both the TC and TC2. Both have an inseam of 28” but the TC total length is 38” while the TC2 is 39”. It’s noticeable in the extra length at the waist and room in the butt. While I didn’t measure the width of the legs, I know the TC2 is wider, both because of the ease of putting on the leggings and how they feel. After wearing my TC leggings (especially the tighter ones) and driving a car all day, I have imprints fromthe seam on my inner thigh. That is not the case with the TC2. I can also tell at the knee and the ankle as there is extra fabric for me. I have fairly shapely calves and ankles for a larger woman and there is some bunching/looseness at both spots”.
“If you like the real fitted look, you may like a TC more. But if you don’t mind extra room or you have larger legs, you’ll probably love the TC2. I’m also definitely more comfortable with the possibility of my butt accidently showing while wearing these. And now for the real confession. Sometimes, as much as I hate it, because of my high waist and the regular TC leggings fit (and honestly just how my lady parts are), I seem to have a bit of a camel toe going on. I can’t believe I told you that. Of course, I have it covered but am terrified my shirt will lift up and show the whole world.
While I’m still not comfortable showing my crotch and hips off, I don’t seem to have the camel toe issue with the TC2. I’m even showing you a picture of my waist and crotch (sorry) to allow you to see what I mean with the TC2. All in all, I think if you are a size 22 and up, you’ll be quite pleased with the TC2. And bonus to ladies 18-22 who can easily go between the TC and TC2! I know the next pair of leggings I plan to buy will be another TC2… now if I can only find them in black…. ”
