LuLaRoe Maternity Clothes… Is That a Thing?
I’m often asked if LuLaRoe is pregnancy friendly because we’re always looking for comfort while creating life! It’s totally pregnancy friendly and THE BEST maternity wear! I’m quite certain LuLaRoe and pregnancy are soul sisters! There really IS a thing called LuLaRoe Maternity…but it’s all the same clothes you are already wearing!
Most individuals will wear their normal size while pregnant, and that obviously goes for the postpartum timeframe as well! How amazing is that?! Clothing you can wear before, during and after pregnancy – umm, where was this amazing clothing brand when I was pregnant?! I mean, I probably would have cried happy tears to have the softness and comfort of LuLaRoe on my healing cesarean incision. Clothes were the bane of my existence for quite some time and I’m happy to know I can guide others to the light so they don’t have to struggle as I did!
Comfort AND Style…Tell me more!
I have an amazing friend that’s currently 39 weeks pregnant to the day when these were shot, and she’s wearing her pre-pregnancy sizing in all of these! We may or may not have had to take contraction breaks – a total beast, huh?! Sure, some items you might want to move up a size in, especially ones like the Nicole where you size for your bust, but that’s not the case for all. Say it with me now – LuLaRoe and Pregnancy are BESTIES. LuLaRoe Maternity IS a thing! They want to be your bestie, too!
All of LuLaRoe’s dresses are made with a high-low hem line, which makes it even more adaptable for pregnancy since we all know things start to lift and shorten as the belly grows! Adding some leggings underneath a dress towards the end of pregnancy is an excellent option if you feel as if it’s still getting to be a tad short despite this advantage. Quite frankly, a dress with leggings underneath is far more comfortable on any ordinary day than jeans typically are…and I LOVE jeans. So imagine how it feels with a big ole’ belly as you’re nearing the end and just wanting to be comfortable while maintaining at least some semblance of feeling put together.
Here is my fabulous friend wearing an XS Nicole dress at 39 weeks pregnant! She’s totally rocking it and feeling comfy! She prefers to wear this style with the hair tie trick tied at the bust. Doesn’t it looks super cute on her?! I mean really, how stinking cute is she?! She was glowing in this dress – I’m pretty sure it was in part to being a hostess reward from her recent party! Winning!
Next up is the Carly dress! Talk about versatility with this bad boy! The Carly dress allows for so much styling freedom as is, so add a baby bump to that and it’s a whole game changer! We used a hair tie to make a ponytail on the inside of her dress underneath her left breast, and this gave some added definition to her curves! So flipping cute!
Why hello there, Amelia! This dress is super fun, but I will admit it’s not for everyone. My friend isn’t personally in love with this style but I am. But she has a bigger frame on top thanks to her bust size, whereas I do not. I’m a triangle…itty bitty top. LOL!! This dress has pockets…because who doesn’t want pockets in a dress? It also has a zipper in the back! One way ladies will wear this is backwards with the zipper pulled down slightly and tucked to make a v-neck. Wear a tank underneath and you have a v-neck that allows more room for the girls…should that be your problem. It’s also a favorite for nursing mamas!
Some Tops of LuLaRoe
Should we talk about Julia next? Umm, yes! Although, I do have to admit this tunic is actually a dress. Yes, this amazing and adorable tunic is actually a dress. Talk about versatility! Also, confession time…this dress has caused me a little baby fever from time to time. Hahaha! I would have sported a Julia dress my entire pregnancy had I known about it sooner! I mean, come on universe…WTF with revealing LuLaRoe to me 3 months postpartum? That’s kind of hateful, don’t you think? Anyway, moving on! LOL This is the Julia sported as a tunic!
Okay, so for real…I know dresses aren’t for everyone…even though that kind of confuses me – LOL! So here’s the Irma! My friend here wears an XXS Irma and wore all of her Irma tops throughout pregnancy! You guys, I’m NOT kidding – all of this stuff is so versatile! You can wear it how you want and it fits with a bump!
But Wait, There’s More!
There are other tops and dresses I didn’t showcase here but the same truly goes for all the styles. The Nicole dress is the short version of the Ana dress, so scroll back up and try to picture that bad boy! The Randy and Gigi tops are very similar to the Julia dress, but you might want to size up one size in those styles as your belly grows. But who doesn’t want some less fitted options during those early postpartum days anyway? I know I did! Less cling for the win…seriously.
We all know the saying “it takes 9 months to grow that baby” yada yada yada…and I do know from experience it takes at least that time to get the weight/body shift back to “normal”, but that doesn’t mean I wanted to showcase that nonsense to the world! LOL There’s no shame in wanting to highlight your assets and style your concern areas to be more flattering! We do that everyday as it is!
How Much Does LuLaRoe Maternity Cost?
LuLaRoe truly is an amazing maternity clothing option. With our prices ranging from $25-$65 for styles you can wear before, during and after, you can’t really ask for more…or can you? I seriously don’t think you can and I’m looking at this from the other side of the fence since I didn’t have the opportunity to experience LuLaRoe while pregnant. You can easily spend $50+ on maternity jeans and they still won’t fit quite right! Adorable tops are easier to find and mine sure got their love, but man were they expensive! I stopped wearing them as soon as I could because they just aren’t flattering after the cute belly is gone.
Cost of the Showcased LuLaRoe Maternity Friendly Styles
Nicole – $48
Carly – $55
Amelia – $65
Julia – $45
Irma Tunic – $35
Leggings – $25
If you’re hesitant about the leggings fitting you, take a look at this customer review about the TC vs TC2 leggings sizing LuLaRoe offers. There truly is a pair of leggings for everyone.
Hook a Sister Up!
