That’s a tough question – and a very personal one! It’s also a question I asked myself before embarking on a new direct sales adventure with Paisley Raye. So let’s quickly discuss the main points as to how I made my choice and hopefully it’ll help you to make yours as well!
Deciding to open a business is a big enough decision, let alone deciding which path is best for you! If you’re like me, you’re coming from a prior brand and want to make sure you choose very wisely. The decision to leave a brand is hard enough, it’s a true labor of love and feels like a breakup, and you don’t want to find yourself in an unhappy rebound relationship.

Owning your own independent boutique is an incredible opportunity to 100% be yourself! You get to work for yourself and make all the rules for yourself. But that freedom does come with downfalls. In all honesty, I decided the added freedom wasn’t worth the perks of ultimate freedom for ME. Maybe I’ll change my mind in a few years, but for now, I’m very happy with where I’m at.
Which is the best option for you? Do you want the ultimate freedom of an independent boutique? Or are you more drawn to the safety net of a direct sales brand like Paisley Raye? I can talk all day about why I chose one over the other and why it was the right decision for ME, but what is right for YOU? Neither adventure is an easy one, nor is it cheap, so think long and hard. Evaluate all the pros and cons to each option available, and decide which cons you’re willing to accept because the pros are too good for you to say no to.
